Title gone but some things are more important
It's true. The title has all but gone. At least we made them battle longer than Josy predicted. Next season should be a different matter. This time last year we were beaten and playing crap. This year we are not quite beaten, 5 points better than last year and playing some good football. Ronaldo has improved after a blip (who can blame the lad after losing his father as a teenager), Rooney has improved massively, Solskjaer is back, Heinze is on the verge of being back, we finally have a good keeper. We just need Scholesy back and a good midfield buy and then we can get 'our' trophy back. The important bit is that I met my big sister for the first time on Sunday. Well, big sister, her husband, 3 kids and parents! It was all brilliant, we all got on so well and I'm sure it's the start of spending some quality time together!! Here's them with Ma.

1 out of 3
Just before the Chelsea game I got an email from a work colleague. He was clearly in a crappy mood and whining like a girl. I replied and told him it was Sunday and to chill out and go to the pub and watch some football, trying to difuse a situation in a jocular manner. He replied (there were actually about 5 other colleagues on this thread) ' What? To give you Scum United a dicking?'. Imagine how happy I am that we did stuff them - yes, stuffed them. I've always believed with football that you shouldn't get gobby before a game as it really can go either way and then you're left with egg on your face. I am so going to give him grief tomorrow! It was a great performance. Rooney was outstanding, Vidic is growing into a great player, Rio and Giggs were both outstanding. Next season should be great - we just need one more player - a strong sentral midfielder. We could look like this...Van Der Sar
G.Neville Rio Vidic Heinze
Ronaldo Scholes Giggs Park
RVN. Rooney
Bench: Saha, Fletcher, Brown, O'Shea, Solksjaer
I'd be happy with that and 1, perhaps 2 new faces.
Hmm
Well, the first bit didn't go so well. 4-1 to Chelsea. :o(On a happier note - here's one of the photos I did manage to get on Thursday (it was so smokey that anything with flash just came out as white and anything without flash couldn't get through the smoke).
Big Day
3 Premiership ties back to back for the first time. I'm not even going to bother getting dressed today, there's so much football on! Ideally we could with West Ham, Liverpool and United victories, the former and the latter being most important for me.One thing I'm going to miss on Sundays is Planet Earth. It really has been an excellent series, some it just breathtaking. IT's back in the Autumn however and when it's finally released in HD it really will be something to see.
I went to a couple of concerts this week - Depeche Mode and Primal Scream. Both excellent in very different ways. Depeche Mode just know how to put on a show and Primal Scream know how to rock a smaller venue.

Can we do it?
The gap is now only 7 points and we have to play Chelsea. I think it will be a lot clearer after next Sunday. We have to play Arsenal who are flying right now. If we win there I think we have a serious chance. Let's just see. I know that the 2 Chelsea fans I know are no longer as confident as they were a couple of weeks ago.Went to a private club on Saturday. It was actually really good. Free to get in and if you're drinking cranberry juice all night it's quite cheap as well. It was full of fairly strangely dressed people but it was (without sounding like a snob) a different class of person. :o)
What else? Going to the new Wembley Arena tonight to see Depeche Mode. Also, on Thursday I've managed to get tickets for Primal Scream @ London Astoria - woo hoo!
