Walked it
As good as they have been this season and as pleased as I am that they have been that good, Wigan just weren't a match for the fire power of Man Utd today. Even without Van Nistelrooy the finishing was in a class of it's own. Should Saha have been on the pitch? I think so. He's the top scorer in the competition and his goals took us to Cardiff so I think he really deserved it. I was a little disappointed with Ruud walking off, seemingly in a bit of a sulk. There were others on the bench who didn't play either and others not even on the bench who didn't even get a medal but they all partied together. It was nice to see the T-shirts comeo ut of Alan Smith, it shows how poular the lad is.
I went out with a buddy on Friday to Soho. Had a great time but got my jacket stolen. The buggers. Luckily I had hidden my bag well enough that no-one could find it. Still didn't have a cigarette thanks to the hog. I could have easily but talked me round. Cheers Mucker.
Poor old Smudger
Looks like Alan Smith is out for at least 8 months. Looked like a nasty break too. After that the result of the game didn't really matter to me. It's never nice to see anyone having an injury that can keep them our for months, let alone one that is potentially life threatening. Get well soon son, you're a hard lad and I'm sure you'll be back quicker than anyone expects.
Watched 21 grams today. Not the happiest of movies for sure but excellent anyway. Sean Penn does seem to be growing every time he's in a movie.
Last of all, looks like bird flu is on it's way. We'll just have to see how severe it hits us, fingers crossed...
Strokes
I'm off to see the Strokes tonight. For anyone who doesn't know I guess they are Indie Rock crossed with Punk. They've won a stack of awards over the last few years and are quite unique. Should be good. I've also got tickets this morning for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Earl's Court in July. It will be the 3rd time I've seen them so should be pretty good. What else has been happening? Well, the smoking ban in pubs and clubs - got to be a good thing (my giving up smoking is still hard sometimes, although I still haven't had a cigarette) but I know a couple in Lincolnshire who won't think so. ;o)
Been a few days
Hello again. What's been happening? Well, I've taken up golf again. One of my friends called me a 'corporate whore' which amused me slightly. I found a driving range in the middle of London, in Regent's Park. It all sounded too good to be true and indeed was. It's miles from any tube station (the guy on the desk told us that St. John's wood was closer but too complicated to explain. We did point out we had degrees and it couldn't be that hard but I think he meant it was too complicated for HIM to explain). It was all nets as well so you can only see the ball going about 10 metres. Never mind, may be going to a course we found tomorrow.
What else? The Winter Olympics started, that's always something good to see - probably the only time I'll watch skiers! :o) Oh my hard drive died. I bought a new one, 300Gig for 65 quid. It arrived and I went to plug it in. There was no IDE connection, just something I've never seen. No one told me about Serial ATA! Anyway, after a quick trip to Tottenham Court Road I have a PCI SATA card and all work! Fast as well.
