Coldplay

So went to see Coldplay at Crystal Palace on Monday. As usual they were fantastic. Chris Martin is incredibly talented and full of energy. Supergrass were pretty good as well. A lovely hot day and fun was had by all.

U2 on Saturday next! :o)

A Grand Day Out

The start of what could be a fantastic 10 days or so started yesterday. I went to the wireless festival with a few friends...

Although it did threaten to be a wash out at one stage, a good dose of lager, great music, great company and a £2.50 plastic mac sorted it all out. When the rain went away and Moby came on everything was great. The last time I saw Moby I was very dissapointed but this time he was great. New Order, Graham Coxon and the Bravery were equally as good. Now for Coldplay on Monday and then U2 in Vienna next Saturday!

Hot!!!

...and it is. 30 degrees pretty constantly. No sign of flash floods here.

So what's been happening? Well, for tickets for the BB eviction but got stuck at work until close to 10. So went for a beer and ended up having a very eventful night. We got in a taxi and asked him to take us somewhere still serving booze. So, strip joint it was then. Fun enough after telling who knows how many women we weren't going to buy them their 69 quid bottle of champagne.

Anyway, not content with that we got in another taxi and asked the same question - somewhere still serving booze. This time we were taken to an appartment and it was all a bit too surreal so we went to leave. We were stopped and asked what the problem was. When we said it was a bit strange we were told it was a brothel. All made sense then!

Anyway. Tickets for the Wireless Festival on Friday, Coldplay on Monday then to Vienna on Saturday to see U2 - sounds like a good week!

Tired...

...been working out like a good 'un the past couple of days. Have a work out partner too who helps an awful. Cycled15km at lunch time today, pretty pleased with that. Other than that - just work really. Could possibly have tickets for the Big Brother eviction on Friday and the weather is supposed to be grand at the weekend - something to look forward to...

Poor Hamster

I bought this for my hamster. It's actually the adventure zone at the bottom. It was on sale at Pets @ Home in Greenwich and I didn't quite imagine it was going to quite as huge as it is. Poor little thing got lost in it and couldn't find the bedroom. She slept in the wheel which is actually a totally seperate room on it's own. I lent a helping hand by putting her in the bedroom from where she found her way round and seemed to remeber where the bed was!! Nothing much else has happened. I watched Sideways today. Strange movie that made me want to drink wine. Not surprising as it's a movie about wine tasting...

Weekend @ Home

Having a weekend in. I think it's possibly the first time in about 3 months so it will do me good. Also need to not go down the pub and not smoke so I can go a full 2 weeks without smoking and hopefully get the cravings out of my system.

So I spent the day shopping, cleaning and ironing instead of having fun. :o) It's ok actually, relaxing!

Very much looking forward to my holiday to Kenya. Only 132 days left! It will soon go I know and then need to make the most of it because it will be over oh so quickly!

Another look

Another new look. Probably not for very long, I tend to get bored with things rather quicker. So, what's been happening. Well, I drove up to Grantham at the weekend to surprise Mum for her birthday. Thing is, I think I have become too consistent in my surprise visits that she seems to know when I am coming now. Oh well, it won't stop me. What else? Watched the new Starsky and Hutch, if you take it for what it is then it's very amusing. Other than that bugger all really. Planning on having a nice quiet weekend in this weekend but that rarely happens to be honest. We shall see. :o)

Too Long

Too long since my last post and too much has happened. Man Utd robbed of the FA cup final, Liverpool winning on pens after seemingly being out, West Ham gaining promotion back to the Premiership, Lincoln losing out, 2 good performances from England in USA - and that's just the footy!!

Things are pretty good, work is going well, the weather is occasionally good (in between rain!). Took a trip to Wentworth for the golf on Sunday and to Brighton on Monday, both good.

That's all for now - snooze time.
